Translation Commons is announcing IYIL 2019 and mobilizing volunteers to join the initiative.
IMUG events are held monthly in Silicon Valley. The International Multilingual User Group has been a forum for GILT* professionals and language technology users since 1987.
If you work with or work on computers, smartphones, software, websites or other projects in more than one human language, please join us!
Meeting topics include Macintosh, Windows, Linux, iPhone, Android and web-based systems and applications; standards for internationalization, localization and globalization; language, language learning and culture; international marketing, startup business resources and more.
Members include engineering, language and business professionals such as software developers, localization software engineers, internationalization architects, software QA testers, technical writers, translators, interpreters, product managers, international business people and other professionals and academics.
Founded at Stanford University in 1987 as the SMUG International SIG, in 1991 IMUG spun off as an independent user group and has held monthly meetings at Apple, Adobe, Google, Yahoo! and other Silicon Valley locations almost continuously ever since.
