that deals with Bukidnon culture. A live broadcasting
that provides people the basic understanding of the
indigenous culture of the ICC’s in Bukidnon.
After finalizing my script I had it checked by our
instructor and the dean of our college, Dr. Hazel Jean
Abejuela. My topic was about “Monochromic and
Polychromic system of the Tribes in Bukidnon”. On the
day of my airing, I was a bit nervous and excited at the
same time.. Monochromic cultures are those who like to
do just one thing at a time. They value a certain
orderliness and sense of there being appropriate time
and place. They tend to like and concentrate on a job at
hand and take time commitments very seriously. In
Bukidnon cultures, there are certain kinds of people who
are monochromic; they prefer working one thing at a
time. Generally, people living in Bukidnon are known of
being polychromic. They like to do multiple things at
the same time. People living especially in urban area
are farmers. They don’t just farm but at the same time
they make sure that their place are safe from
“mangagayaw” or invaders. Aside from those facts, we
also shared some Binukid terms indicating time for those
people are listening to our program. We started around
10 and finished by 11:30
Through our on-air program we shared cultures, language
and facts about Bukidnon culture. With those, we are
able to preserve those important things.
