Kulturang Bukidnon

The event is about the building of kumba along with its values.

These are the values that’s essential to preserve and develop for the vitality of Bukidnon Culture. We focus our presentation on Kumba, a sacred place of the tribe where they conduct sacred rituals, ceremony and other activities.

It is built with the consensus of baylans. Datu and Bae comes to visit the land where the Kumba is to be built along with the presence of the moon in the night. People then gathers together to agree the chosen land. Then they will perform the formal ritual of “pag panawag tawag” meaning to pray for diwata and ugis magbabaya.

Implementing the building already takes a lot of effort and seriousness. Much more the values that needs to be followed when it is already built. Even the Datu, Bae and congregation should be obedience of the values in Kumba becausebthey will experience physical sickness and punishment if the disobey.
