Agro Forestry Teaching practices

The Agroforestry Practice combines agriculture and forestry as a land management system. The practice has various benefits including the increase of biodiversity.

The event at Porto do Boi is led by Xoda Novais, a specialist of the Chapada Diamantina who follows Ernst Götsch’s methods. On the 28th of November, locals are invited to participate together with indigenous natives in this amazing practice which lasts until the 2nd of December. They will bring a diversity of crops from fruit trees, to vegetables and roots. The group aims to exchange knowledge and great methods to deal with the local land and plants.
